Future Stars: FCD Reserves and Dallas Cup

FRISCO, TX - From April 9-16, soccer fans from all over the world will be able to see soccer's future stars in Pizza Hut Park. The FC Dallas Reserves kick-off a week that will also feature top youth clubs from teams from all over the world that will participate in the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XXVII throughout the complex's 17 fields and 20,500 seat stadium.

The Hoops open up the 2006 Reserve Division campaign with a home match against Real Salt Lake on Sunday, April 9 at 10 a.m. on the adidas Field at Pizza Hut Park. The Hoops finished tied for second place with a 6-5-1 record (19 points) in the inaugural season of the MLS Reserve Division in 2005.

The Reserve Division was established in 2005 as a key component of Major League Soccer's drive to develop the stars of tomorrow in a professional, competitive atmosphere. The Reserve Division utilizes a single-table standings - without conferences - in which all twelve team are grouped together and the team with the most points at the end of the season wins the Reserve Division Cup and a $20,000 cash prize. In 2005, the D.C. United Reserves were crowned Reserve Division Champions, finishing with 24 points from 12 games, five points clear of FC Dallas, New England and New York.

FCD Reserves will once again play 12 games, six home and six road in the Reserve Division. The game on April 9 is open to the public and can best be viewed from the east side of the field. There will be a $5 fee to park in any Pizza Hut Park parking lot.
