Fire 2, Revolution 1 -- quote sheet

CHICAGO FIRE 2, NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION 1

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION HEAD COACH STEVE NICOL

On today's game:
"We had to run and scrap for it. We told the guys to sit tight and they'd break on us, and we had to be wary of that. Set pieces and breaking on us was how they were going to score. (The Fire scored) two goals that should and could have been avoided and we could have scored others but didn't."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION FORWARD TAYLOR TWELLMAN

On his goal:
"It just felt good because it was off a cross, we haven't had a lot of crosses this year. Obviously, Andy (Dorman) hit a great cross and my noggin got in the way and just put it on target hard."

NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION MIDFIELDER TONY LOCHHEAD

On his MLS debut with the Revolution:
"It was great to get out there and actually play. I have been looking forward to this for a while now since coming in here last year. That was my goal to get onto the team and start playing first team soccer. Hopefully, I can improve on my performance and keep it up."

CHICAGO FIRE HEAD COACH DAVE SARACHAN

On his team's victory:
"It feels very good, we have played four games on the road now and we think we have gotten three good results. Clearly today, three points in a place that has not been exactly the easiest place for us to play is huge and I credit this team; it was a great team effort today from top to bottom."

CHICAGO FIRE FORWARD CHRIS ROLFE

On the game:
"It was a huge game for us to win, coming to New England after losing to them last year in the playoffs. Hopefully it was inspirational for us as we're on the road for five games."
