KANSAS CITY, MO - The Kansas City Wizards have announced their schedule for the first round of the 2004 MLS Cup Playoffs as they take on the defending MLS Cup Champion San Jose Earthquakes. The Wizards will take to the road for the first leg, facing the Earthquakes on Sunday, October 24th at 4:00 p.m. CT. That game will be nationally televised from Spartan Stadium on ESPN2. Kansas City will host the second leg of the two-game, aggregate goal series at Arrowhead on Saturday, October 30th at 7:30 p.m. CT.
The winner of the two-game series will be determined by total goals scored, and will advance to the Western Conference Final. Kansas City clinched home field advantage with the best record in the Western Conference during the regular season and would host the Conference Final if they advance past the first round. That game would be played at Arrowhead on Friday, November 5th at 7:30 p.m. CT.
Tickets for the Wizards home playoff game on Saturday, October 30th are on sale now through Ticketmaster and can be purchased by calling 816-931-3330 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices for the playoff game are $13 adult/$9 youth (15 and younger) for General Admission to "The Yard", $18 adult/$13 youth for Lower Level Sideline Reserved and $22 adult/$16 youth for Club Level.
The Wizards will also offer the popular Wendy's Family Pack for their home playoff game. Fans can purchase a package of four tickets, four hot dogs, four soft drinks, four coupons for Wendy's Frosty's and a soccer ball. The package is available for $54 for sideline reserved seats and $44 for endline general admission. Group tickets are available for groups of 20 or more for the discounted rate of $13 adult/$8 youth for sideline reserved and $11adult/ $7 youth for general admission.
