Wizards launch new-look Web site

The Kansas City Wizards announced today the re-launch of the team's official website, www.kcwizards.com, the second of eight MLS team sites that will be created through a partnership with Sports on Earth, LLC. As part of the newly created MLSnet.com Internet Network, the Wizards website will feature a fresh new look, additional content and an impressive multimedia section.

"Our exceptional new site will be a fantastic resource for Wizards fans both locally and world wide," said Wizards General manager Curt Johnson. "The new-look site will be packed with the most up-to-date team, player and League information, and will be the best source for Wizards ticket, promotions, schedule and camp details."

The Wizards website will continue to offer updated Wizards news and information as well as in depth bios for the team, and will also provide additional editorial content. The extensive multimedia section will feature live and archived video webcasts of most Wizards home and road games as well as photos from each game. The site will also be integrated with MLSnet.com where fans can view MLS news and get up to the minute stats and League standings.

"We are delighted to partner with the Kansas City Wizards and Major League Soccer," said Phil Green, General Manager MLSnet.com Internet Network. "Fan reaction to the new MLSnet.com, the official league website, has been overwhelmingly positive. We look forward to taking that to the team level and providing Wizards and all MLS fans with up to the minute news, information and analysis, as well as all of the exciting video and audio highlights from the field."

Sports on Earth will oversee hosting and the day-to-day maintenance of KCWizards.com. Through a partnership with Major League Soccer, Sports on Earth will provide original editorial content, audio and video highlights, design and technical support, and marketing and sales support to Major League Soccer and eight individual teams as part of the MLSnet.com Internet Network. In addition to MLSnet.com - re-launched in April - and KCWizards.com, Sports on Earth will oversee redesigning the websites for the Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew, Dallas Burn, D.C. United, Los Angeles Galaxy, MetroStars and San Jose Earthquakes.
