KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Wizards General Manager Curt Johnson announced today that the Missouri Youth Soccer Association's Board of Directors voted unanimously to become a part of the Wizards regional marketing efforts, joining the Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa soccer associations.
"We have seen great sponsorship interest in the original State Soccer Association partnership between Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa that was announced a little over a month ago," said Ryan Haas, Sales Manager for the Kansas City Wizards. "With the addition of Missouri to this program, it truly completes a strong regional footprint for companies marketing in the Midwest."
The Missouri State Soccer Association is comprised of 35,000 registered youth soccer players, bringing the total number of members within the four-state area to over 132,000. The four states will now be able to combine resources and better communicate to their members as well as create a regional marketing impact.
"Between the primary cities of Kansas City, Omaha, Des Moines and St. Louis, there are hundreds of companies that have district or regional offices that market to families everyday," added Haas. "The opportunity for a business to reach 132,000 families directly, knowing their specific demographics by location, gender, age group and outdoor hobbies helps identify them to potential advertisers."
Last month, the Wizards announced a one-of-a-kind marketing partnership with the Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa State Associations with the prospect of adding additional State Associations in the future. This partnership allows the Wizards to serve as the marketing and sales arm for each association and helps coordinate sponsor programs that directly benefit registered youth and adult soccer players.
