COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Crew will play two home games this week at Crew Stadium, hosting the MetroStars on Wednesday, July 20, at 7:30 p.m. and the Kansas City Wizards on Saturday, July 23, at 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday's game vs. the MetroStars is the second Johnsonville Buck-A-Brat Night of the year and will feature the Johnsonville Big Taste Grill. The Johnsonville Big Taste Grill is the world's largest touring grill and can cook up to 750 bratwurst at a time.


The Crew (4-10-3, 15 pts.) tied Eastern Conference leader Chicago 1-1 on the road last Saturday in Interim Head Coach Robert Warzycha's debut. The MetroStars (6-4-7, 25 pts.) tied Colorado 1-1 at home last Saturday, while Kansas City (7-4-7, 28 pts) downed Real Salt Lake 3-2 at home last Saturday.

ADDED TIME WITH THE CREW SET FOR TUESDAY AT 7 P.M. ON 1460 THE FAN
Added Time With The Crew, The Crew's half-hour radio show on 1460 The Fan, will air this Tuesday, July 19, from 7-7:30 p.m. The show began on April 12, and aired from 7:30-8 p.m. for the first five shows (4/12, 4/26, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24). Beginning June 7, the show began airing from 7-7:30 p.m. and runs on the following dates: 6/7, 6/21, 6/28, 7/5, 7/19, 7/26, 8/16, 9/13, 9/20 and 9/27, in addition to one final show. The show is hosted by the "Voice of The Crew," Dwight Burgess.

SIERRA MIST MLS ALL-STAR GAME IS JULY 30 IN COLUMBUS WITH TICKETS NOW ON SALE, HEJDUK NAMED ALL-STAR RESERVE AS COMPLETE MLS ROSTER IS SET
The MLS All-Stars will face Brian McBride and English Premier League club Fulham FC in the 2005 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game to be played on Saturday, July 30, in Crew Stadium (ABC Sports at 3:30 p.m. ET). FC Dallas head coach Colin Clarke named Crew defender Frankie Hejduk as one of five players selected as reserves for the MLS All-Star game. The complete roster can be found on-line at MLSnet.com.


HEJDUK AND U.S. ADVANCE TO SEMIS OF GOLD CUP, GLEN AND T&T ELIMINATED
The U.S. Men's National Team and Crew defender Frankie Hejduk have advanced to the semifinals of the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup, the regional championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean. The 12-team tournament runs from July 6-24 in six cities across the United States, with the U.S. competing in Group B along with Canada, Costa Rica and Cuba.


The U.S. downed Jamaica 3-1 in the quarterfinals on Saturday, July 16. Hejduk missed the quarterfinals after accumulating two yellow cards in group play. The U.S. meets Honduras in the semifinals on Thursday, July 21, at 6 p.m. (ET) at Giants Stadium. The U.S. opened the tournament with a 4-1 win over Cuba on Thursday, July 7, with Hejduk starting and playing the full 90 minutes. The U.S. continued group play against Canada on Saturday, July 9, in Seattle, winning 2-0, but Hejduk did not play. The U.S. wrapped up group play with a 0-0 tie against Costa Rica on Tuesday, July 12, with Hejduk playing the full 90, but he also picked up his second yellow card of the tournament which caused him to miss the quarterfinal match vs. Jamaica.


Along with Hejduk for the U.S., one other Crew player has been called-in by his country, with Trinidad & Tobago calling in Cornell Glen. Trinidad & Tobago faced Honduras on Wednesday, July 6, and played to a 1-1 tie, as Glen did not see any action. T&T continued group play against Panama with a 2-2 tie on Saturday, July 9, with Glen scoring the tying goal in stoppage time after entering the game in the 83rd minute. T&T finished off group play with a 2-0 loss to Colombia on July 11, with Glen starting and playing the first half.


CREW TO FACE FC DALLAS IN U.S. OPEN CUP ROUND OF 16 ON AUGUST 3 AT OHIO STATE'S JESSE OWENS MEMORIAL STADIUM
The Crew will face FC Dallas in the 2005 U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 on Wednesday, August 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Tickets for the match are $10 general admission, and will go on sale tomorrow (Friday, July 15) at 10 a.m. Tickets can be acquired at the Crew Stadium Box Office, at any area Ticketmaster outlet, via phone at 614-431-3600, or on line at TheCrew.com. A portion of the proceeds will go to both the Connor Senn Memorial Scholarship Fund and The Crew Soccer Foundation. Ohio State students with a valid BUCK-ID will be admitted free. A donation is welcome. FC Dallas advanced to the Round of 16 with a 3-1 overtime win on July 13 over the Wilmington Hammerheads (United Soccer Leagues Second Division). Possible Crew quarterfinal opponents for August 24 include D.C. United, the Richmond Kickers (USL1) or the Ocean City Barons (PDL). At stake in the tournament is $180,000 in prize money broken down as follows: $100,000 to the champion, $50,000 to the runner up and $10,000 to the team which advances deepest in the tournament from each of the Division II, Division III and amateur levels. The U.S. Open Cup, the U.S. Soccer Federation's National Championship, is an annual competition open to all amateur and professional soccer teams affiliated with U.S. Soccer. It is the oldest annual team tournament in U.S. sports history and among the oldest soccer tournaments of its type in the world. In 1999, the competition was renamed to honor long-time soccer pioneer Lamar Hunt.
