FC DALLAS TIED FOR SEVENTH BEST START IN MLS HISTORY: Despite their 3-2 loss in stoppage time to New England last Saturday night, FC Dallas is still off to its best start in team history and is tied for the seventh best start in MLS history. The 34 points after 17 matches (10-3-4) is behind the 1998 Los Angeles Galaxy (43 points), the 2000 Kansas City Wizards (37 points), the 2001 Miami Fusion (36 points), the 1996 Los Angeles Galaxy (35 points), the 1997 DC United (35 points), and the 2005 New England Revolution (35 points).

RUIZ BACK IN ACTION; JOHNSON BACK AT TRAINING: The starting forwards at the 2005 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game are back, in one way or another. Carlos Ruiz started for FC Dallas last Saturday night at New England, playing the full 90 minutes and assisting on the Ronnie O'Brien goal. Eddie Johnson is expected to return to the field this week for practice and did train off the field today. Johnson has missed the past eight matches with a stress related injury to his right toe. He will miss this weekend's match at Real Salt Lake and will be re-evaluated next week before the match at the MetroStars.
