On May 7, during Week Six, RSL faced CD Chivas USA at the Home Depot Center on May 7 in hopes of getting its first road win of the season. The game's only goal was scored by CD Chivas USA after a controversial handball call on RSL MF Marlon Rojas, giving Chivas' MF Hector Cuadros a penalty kick, which he converted in the 39th minute.

Real Salt Lake sustained multiple injuries during the 1-0 loss, including the 82nd minute departure of GK DJ Countess to a left shoulder subluxation, which forced him to miss the Los Angeles Galaxy rematch on Saturday, and a 30th minute injury to MF Clint Mathis (lower back contusion). Added to the loss of the two starters was MF Brian Kamler's insertion as RSL's goalkeeper for the last eight minutes after the injury to Countess forced the team to play with only ten players.

REVENGE SERIES CONTINUES: Real Salt Lake avenged its 3-1 loss to the Los Angeles Galaxy on April 9 with a 2-1 victory Saturday at home, and hopes to remain undefeated at Rice-Eccles with a revenge match against CD Chivas USA. The game against Chivas represents RSL's first Wednesday night contest of the season, with RSL looking to continue the momentum from Saturday's 2-1 victory over the Galaxy.

RSL TRINIDADIAN DUO ON INTERNATIONAL DUTY: RSL MF Leslie "Tiger" Fitzpatrick and DF Marlon Rojas will not be available for the Wednesday, May 18 game against CD Chivas USA due to international duty after being called into Trinidad & Tobago's National Team camp this week. Fitzpatrick and Rojas rejoin their RSL teammates on Thursday, May 19 in Columbus, Ohio, and will be available for the road game against the Columbus Crew on Saturday, May 21 at Crew Stadium at 5:30 p.m. MT and for RSL's home game against the Chicago Fire the following week at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

T&T began training today at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Malabar, Trinidad and concludes training camp with a game against El Salvador's Liga Mayor Alianza FC, which will be played at 4:30 p.m. MT on Wednesday, May 18 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad, as part of the preparation for the June 4 World Cup Qualifier against Panama at the same venue.

KREIS TO MISS CHIVAS REMATCH: RSL FW Jason Kreis will be out of action against CD Chivas USA for the Wednesday, May 18 rematch after picking up yellow cards in three consecutive games following Saturday's caution for diving and exaggeration when Kreis was taken down in the box in the 25th minute in the 2-1 win against the Los Angeles Galaxy. Major League Soccer's All-Time Leading Scorer notched the game-winning goal in the 65th minute, a tally which represents No. 95 for his 10-year career.
