red for Chivas, green for Galaxy -- and sport the winning team's jersey at a special luncheon to be held the week after the game. (The loser, of course, has to pay.) In addition, the losing team will donate $1,000 to the winning team's charitable foundation.

CLÁSICO, PART II: The excitement of the United States' very first professional soccer 'Clásico' will be on display all weekend long at The Home Depot Center; the morning after Saturday's match, both club's reserve teams will face off on the HDC's 'Track Field' at 10:00 a.m.

BACK IN ACTION: Chivas USA defenders Alfonso Loera and Armando Begines are back in action after suffering preseason injuries. On Sunday, longtime Chivas Guadalajara stalwart Loera played 90 minutes in central defense (and wore the captain's armband) in Chivas USA's reserve match versus FC Dallas, while Begines played entire second half at left fullback. Loera suffered a groin injury that forced him to miss much of the preseason, while Begines suffered a collarbone fracture in early March.

TWO WEEKS MORE: Midfielder Francisco Gómez and goalkeeper Martín Zúñiga are recovering well and are expected to return to action in just two weeks' time. Gómez suffered sprains to his left MCL and left ankle in Chivas USA's inaugural match versus D.C. United, while Zúñiga is recovering from a left ACL sprain suffered in March.

SUÁREZ, GUZAN AND ERUSH: Defender Ryan Suárez suffered from a grade-three concussion this past Saturday after hitting his head against goalkeeper Brad Guzan's knee. Everything is normal concluding the CAT scan procedures that were preformed on him, and the central defender and will be back between two to three weeks. Guzan, for his part, received ten stitches in his upper lip following the incident, but has been cleared to resume training. Michael Erush, on the other hand, is to undergo surgery for a sports hernia this Thursday, April 21. The 22-year-old defender will be out for four to six weeks.
