TEAM ANNOUNCES THEY WILL NOT OFFER CONTRACT TO GOALKEEPER HENRY RING:
FC Dallas announced today that the Major League Soccer club will not offer goalkeeper Henry Ring a contract. Subsequently, Ring will return to his home in Chicago to contemplate his options for the 2005 season. The team will still own his rights after acquiring him during the MLS SuperDraft on January 14, 2005 from the Chicago Fire.

"We made a decision to stick with the two goalkeepers we have in Jeff Cassar and Scott Garlick," said FC Dallas Head Coach Colin Clarke. "We do not have the intention of heading into the season with three veteran goalkeepers on our roster and Henry happened to be our third guy."

Ring appeared in all three scrimmages with FC Dallas, yielding five goals against in 165 minutes for a 2.73 goals against average.

STEVE JOLLEY TO HAVE MINOR ARTHROSCOPIC SURGERY ON KNEE:
Defender Steve Jolley will go in on Thursday to have minor arthroscopic surgery to clean up his left knee and should be out of action for the next 2-3 weeks. Head Coach Colin Clarke still expects Jolley to be at full strength come opening day against Chicago on April 2.

"Steve had some minor discomfort in his left knee and we decided for precautionary reasons to have an MRI done," said Clarke. "The doctor recommended having minor clean up work on the knee and we complied with his advice. It is better to do this now before the season gets going and I believe that Steve, who will not accompany the team to Spain, will be completely ready for opening day against Chicago on April 2."
