RSL PORTUGAL UPDATE:
After leaving sunny Florida, Real Salt Lake arrived in freezing, rainy Monte Gordo, Portugal on Feb. 24 to begin the second leg of its preseason training. During its preseason east of the Atlantic, Real is slatted to play three exhibition games against Portuguese Second Division teams Beira Mar, Portimonense and Olhanense, a team which competed in La Liga in 2003-04 and currently sits No. 2 in the Portuguese Second Division.
RSL DF Senad Halilovic and FW Dipsy Selolwane are arriving in Portugal Tuesday just in time to join the team as it begins preparations for the first of the three exhibition games on March 1. MF Andy Williams is awaiting approval from the Portuguese Embassy and is scheduled to join the team in Portugal on Wednesday, March 2. DF Brian Dunseth is heading back to the Salt Lake City to get an MRI on a pain-free but swollen right knee. For a complete listing of the team's preseason activities, please see below.

BESAGNO MAKING NOISE IN CENTRAL AMERICA:
The No. 1 2005 MLS SuperDraft pick played in two of three games for the U-17 U.S. National Team this past week in Guatemala, scoring the final goal in a 5-1 win over the Aurora reserve squad on Saturday, February 26, at the Estadio del Ejercito in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The U.S. went undefeated during the tour, snagging three wins and outscoring their opponents 16-4. The next test for the U-17 comes on Wednesday, March 2 as it faces off against the U.S. U-18 National Team at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
JERSEY LAUNCH:
RSL and adidas are joining together to announce the unveiling of Real Salt Lake's official 2005 jersey on Saturday, March 12 at 6:00 p.m. The jersey launch will take place at the Town Lift Plaza in downtown Park City, located at 825 Main Street just north of Heber Ave. Be the first to see the new Real Salt Lake jersey, the same ones the players will be wearing on the field during the club's inaugural season. 100 YEARS OF SOCCER IN UTAH:
The Utah Soccer Association is celebrating 100 years of soccer in Utah on Saturday, March 5. In conjunction with the celebration, the Utah Soccer Association is holding a banquet for the Utah Soccer Hall of Fame induction which will be held at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center at 255 South West Temple on Saturday, March 5. The main speaker at the banquet will be Tom King, the Managing Director of Administration of the United States Soccer Federation.
2005 RSL MINI-PLANS NOW AVAILABLE:
A Real Salt Lake half-season mini-plan package for the inaugural 2005 campaign at Rice-Eccles Stadium is now on sale. The RSL 2005 mini-plan features 10 games, including nine MLS regular-season games and one special bonus game. Real Salt Lake's mini-plan ticket pricing consists of Youth (15 and younger) and Adult in four price levels. Prices for the 2005 mini-plan season ticket packages are $120 adult ($100 youth) for the North Goal, $170 adult ($140) for the Corner Flag, $220 adult ($180 youth) for East Sideline and $280 adult ($230 youth) for VIP seats.

2005 RSL GROUP TICKET SALES:
Real Salt Lake is offering group ticket sales starting Tuesday, March 1 for its Inaugural Season Opening Day match vs. the Colorado Rapids as well as the rest of the regular season with the exception of the June 4th match vs. FC Dallas. Regular Pricing for the four ticket categories are: VIP $32, Premium $25, Corner Flag $18, and North End Zone $14. Group Pricing for the same four categories are: VIP $27, Premium $21, Corner Flag $15, and North End Zone $12. The minimum to order a group and receive these discounts is 20 tickets. Group seating is limited. RSL GENERAL MANAGER TO BE A CONTESTANT IN SEUSSOPARDY:
Real Salt Lake General Manager Steve Pastorino will be participating in Seussopardy - "Read Across America" celebration hosted by Ken Jennings, the all time TV game show winner. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Library located at 210 East 400 South. The event is free to the public.
THREE FOR ALL:
Real Salt Lake, and Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation in cooperation with Utah Youth Soccer Association (UYSA) present the first annual "Three for All" 3v3 Soccer Fest. Boys and girls ages 7-15 are invited and encouraged to register. The tournament will be held on the University of Utah campus at Spence Eccles Fieldhouse, located at 550 South Guardsman Way (1580 east) on Saturday, March 5.
