GALAXY HOST WORLD POWERHOUSE REAL MADRID TONIGHT AT THE HOME DEPOT CENTER: Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), in conjunction with Soccer United Marketing (SUM), will present a match between the Los Angeles Galaxy and nine-time European club champions Real Madrid tonight at 7:30 pm at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. It will mark the first match ever between and MLS team and Real Madrid. Though the match is already sold-out, fans throughout the Southland will be able to watch it live on FSN West 2, beginning with a pre-game show at 7 pm.


D.C. UNITED TREKS WEST FOR MATCH ON THE WEEKEND AGAINST THE GALAXY: The Galaxy will continue their 2005 MLS regular season on Saturday afternoon when they host Eastern Conference foe D.C. United at 1 pm (PT). Tickets are still available by calling the Galaxy directly toll-free at 1-877-3-GALAXY. Additionally, the match will be televised live to a nationwide audience on ESPN2. Galaxy fans unable to attend in person or watch it on the tube can tune their radios to the Spanish broadcast live on KMXE 830 am.


GALAXY DRIVE SERIES BOOK DRIVE AT SATURDAY'S MATCH: The Los Angeles Galaxy will be hosting a book drive at Saturday's game benefiting: the "Get a Kick Out of Reading / ¡Lee y Marca un Golazo!" bi-lingual literacy program Each donor who gives two books or more receives a Galaxy Drive Series luggage tag and a "Buy One, Get One Free" offer for the September 4 Galaxy game! In addition, all those who donate will be entered into a drawing for a Puma soccer ball signed by members of the 2005 Galaxy team. CLUB OFFERS COACHING SEMINAR AT THE HOME DEPOT CENTER ON TUESDAY EVENING: The Galaxy will be offering a coaching clinic Tuesday evening at The Home Depot Center between 5-8 pm. Galaxy assistant coach Afshin Ghotbi will be the main clinician and will focus on playing through the midfield. The cost of participation is $50 and includes a ticket to future Galaxy home MLS match. GALAXY COMMUNITY CLINIC SERIES RESUMES WEDNESDAY AT RIO HONDO COLLEGE: The Galaxy's Community Clinic Series resumes Wednesday, July 20 with a clinic for 100-150 underserved children at Rio Honda College in Whittier under the direction of Galaxy Director of Coaching Programs Ralph Perez and Rio Hondo men's soccer coach Orlando Brenes. The Galaxy Community Clinic Series is sponsored by Herdez, KOHL's, NikeGO and Verizon Wireless.


GALAXY YOUTH FANTASY CAMP REGISTRATION UNDERWAY: Registration for the First Annual Galaxy Youth Fantasy Camp is now open. The camp will take place at The Home Depot Center August 15-19, 2005, and will include the involvement of Galaxy coaches and your favorite players. Learn what it is like to be a Galaxy player, and have a week full of fun and wonderful memories by registering for the Galaxy Youth Fantasy Camp. Space is limited, so sign up now. GALAXY DEFEAT CHIVAS USA 2-0 TO TAKE INAUGURAL HONDA SUPERCLASICO SERIES: Even though the Honda SuperClasico is only three games old, it's abundantly clear that the Los Angeles Galaxy and Chivas USA don't like each other. After a handful of yellow cards and a number of fouls, it was the Galaxy who came away with a 2-0 win thanks to a pair of goals by Herculez Gomez on Saturday night at The Home Depot Center, snapping a six-game winless streak and clinching the season series between the clubs.


MAS GALAXY BREAKS DOWN THE GALAXY THIS WEDNESDAY: Más Galaxy, the club's Spanish-Language radio talk show, will break down the Galaxy's exciting week ahead at 7 pm on KMXE 830 am. The program, hosted by Troy Santiago, the Spanish-language voice of the Galaxy alongside www.MLSnet.com reporter and local soccer journalist Rene Romano, features an in-depth look at the Galaxy and their opponent each week. Remember Galaxy fans, for the latest news on your favorite team, tune in every Wednesday night to Más Galaxy, only on KMXE 830 AM.


GALAXY DEPORTIVO BREAKS DOWN ALL THE ACTION SATURDAY: Galaxy Deportivo, The weekly, half-hour Spanish language television show devoted to the Los Angeles Galaxy, can be seen this Saturday, July 23 at 3:30 p.m. on KWHY - Channel 22. Galaxy Deportivo, hosted by Los Angeles area personalities Jaime Motta and Elmer Polanco, can be seen at the same time each and every Saturday on Channel 22.
