FC DALLAS HOSTS THE COLORADO RAPIDS ON WEDNESDAY, TRAVELS TO PLAY CHIVAS USA ON SUNDAY:
FC Dallas will return home to host the Colorado Rapids this Wednesday night at the Cotton Bowl beginning at 7:30 p.m. (CST). This is the one home match the team will play in Dallas during a stretch that sees them on the road for seven of eight. Through the first three on the road, FC Dallas has posted a 0-1-2 record. The match will be one of two for FC Dallas this week as they will also travel to Los Angeles to play Chivas USA on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. (CST). The club is currently tied with the Los Angeles Galaxy for first place in the Western Conference as the Galaxy will be home on Saturday to host San Jose. The Chivas USA match on Sunday will be televised on Fox Sports Net Southwest with Brad Sham on play-by-play and Dave Dir providing color analysis. It can also be heard on English Radio (KFCD - 990 AM) and on Spanish Radio (Radio AYO KZMP - 1540 AM).

NOMINATION APPLICATIONS FOR TEXANS CREDIT UNION WALK OF FAME DUE BY THIS FRIDAY: The Frisco Soccer & Entertainment Center announced on April 18 that five individuals will be enshrined into the Texans Credit Union Walk of Fame for the inaugural 2005 season. Formal nomination applications are available at www.texanscu.org, www.ntxsoccer.org or www.fcdallas.net. Applications may also be obtained via fax or mail by calling (214) 777-0208. The deadline for all nominations is this Friday, May 20. A formal Nomination Committee and Selection Committee will review and vote on all nominees, with the five inductees to be announced in mid-August. A formal induction ceremony, in conjunction with an FC Dallas home game, will also be part of the enshrinement process.


FC DALLAS RESERVES DOWNED 3-1 IN SAN JOSE: The FC Dallas Reserves took the field for their second match of 12 this season and were handed their first loss. The 3-1 defeat to the San Jose Earthquake Reserves came on Sunday at Valley Christian School in San Jose. Abe Thompson tallied his second goal in as many games to give FC Dallas a 1-0 lead early in the second half. However, San Jose used three unanswered goals in the 50th, 55th and 72nd minutes en route to the 3-1 win. Drew Moor and Arturo Alvarez appeared in both the first team match with San Jose on Saturday night and the reserve game on Sunday. Moor played the final 14 minutes on Saturday and the first 76 minutes on Sunday, while Alvarez appeared in the final two minutes on Saturday and the first 88 minutes on Sunday.
