GALAXY TO CELEBRATE HISPANIC HERITAGE NIGHT ON JUNE 11: The Galaxy will continue their tradition of honoring the Hispanic individuals who have made the club so successful over the past ten years when they host Budweiser Hispanic Heritage Night at The Home Depot Center. In addition to the game that night against Real Salt Lake, there will be several Hispanic food delicacies for purchase and some pre-game entertainment, with more details available in the coming days. For more information, contact the Galaxy directly at 1-877-3GALAXY.

GALAXY GET CHANCE FOR REVENGE AGAINST REAL SALT LAKE: The Los Angeles Galaxy will get a chance to avenge last month's loss they take on Real Salt Lake at The Home Depot Center on the campus of Cal State University, Dominguez Hills for a match this Saturday, June 11 at 7 pm (PT). The match will be televised throughout the Southland on FSN West 2, nationally on Fox Soccer Channel and broadcast to radio listeners in Spanish on KMXE (830 am).

The third meeting between the teams comes after Real's 2-1 upset over the Galaxy in Salt Lake on April 14, just over a month after the Galaxy took the inaugural match between the two sides, 3-1, on April 9 at The Home Depot Center. In the Galaxy's home opener, Landon Donovan scored two goals in his MLS debut to lead the green-and-gold. Jovan Kirovski scored the Galaxy's lone goal at Salt Lake, but two second-half goals by Real clinched the upset for the expansion squad.

GALAXY HOST J-LEAGUE SIDE YOKOHAMA F. MARINOS ON JUNE 8: The Los Angeles Galaxy will play host to two-time defending J-League champions Yokohama F. Marinos in the 2005 Yokohama World Challenge, presented by MLJ, on Wednesday, June 8 at 7:30 pm at The Home Depot Center. Marinos joined the J-League in 1991 and have been the most successful team in Japan's first division since 2003. They won both stages of that country's national championship that season and won the overall championship in 2004. Though the match is the first between the two clubs, it will not be for the first for the Galaxy against a Japanese first-division side. In the 2001 preseason, the MLS side faced both Tokyo Verdy 1969 and Urawa Reds, dropping each of those matches by a one-goal margin in a tour of Japan. Galaxy season ticket holders will be able to use Bonus Game A in their ticket books for the match, while those interested in purchasing tickets should call the Galaxy ticket office toll-free at 1-877-3-GALAXY.

DONOVAN, RAMIREZ AND UMAÑA CONTINUE TIME WITH NATIONAL TEAMS: After participating for each of their national teams in qualifiers to FIFA World Cup 2006 Germany on the weekend, Galaxy forward Landon Donovan and midfielder Pando Ramirez will likely be in action Wednesday as well for the USA and Guatemala, respectively. Donovan leads the stars and stripes into Panama, while Ramirez and the chapines travel to Costa Rica, to face a side that may include Galaxy defender Michael Umaña.

GALAXY AND METROSTARS END UP DEADLOCKED: A pair of goals in both halves from the Los Angeles Galaxy and the MetroStars resulted in a 2-2 draw at The Home Depot Center. With the tie, the Galaxy's record without star striker Landon Donovan went to 1-0-2. Donovan's goal-scoring prowess was being used by the U.S. national team after he scored two goals in a 3-0 decision over Costa Rica in World Cup qualifying. The Galaxy could have used one of those goals Saturday, but instead had to settle for a share of the points at home.

ALL-STAR BALLOTING UNDERWAY ON MLSNET.COM: Balloting for the 2005 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star is already underway on www.MLSnet.com. There are several Galaxy players up for consideration at each position for the game, which will pit MLS' finest against England Premier League side Fulham FC on Saturday, July 30 in Columbus.

MAS GALAXY TAKES A HIATUS THIS WEDNESDAY: Más Galaxy, the club's Spanish-Language radio talk show, will be pre-empted by the Galaxy game broadcast this Wednesday at 7 pm. The program, hosted by Troy Santiago, the Spanish-language voice of the Galaxy alongside www.MLSnet.com reporter and local soccer journalist Rene Romano, features an in-depth look at the Galaxy and their opponent each week.
