Fire Takes 20-4-2 Open Cup Record to FC Dallas in Semifinal Contest

The Fire will continue its path towards a fourth Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title on Wednesday, Sept. 14 when it faces off against longtime MLS and Brimstone Cup rival FC Dallas at the brand new Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX at 7:00 p.m. CT. The match, the fourth road contest in as many games in this year's tournament for Chicago, will mark the Fire's sixth semifinal contest in eight tournament appearances as the "Men in Red" look to advance to their fifth final in the domestic championship. The winner of this game will move one step closer to lifting the Dewar Cup in the U.S. Open Final to be held the following Wednesday, Sept. 28 against the winner of the Los Angeles Galaxy - Minnesota Thunder match, also to be played Wednesday night.

For the Record:
"It feels great to be back, even though I'm not 100% there yet. I'm trying to take it one step at a time, trying to regain my rhythm. It was tough, not playing or training for a few months, but I was pretty optimistic about coming back this season. The toughest part now is just regaining my fitness. We have lots of good forwards on our team so it's not going to be easy to earn back my spot. In the end, what matters is that we make the playoffs. I'll do my best to help the team accomplish that."
