HOUSTON, TX - HOUSTON 1836 is back in town after facing in-state rival FC Dallas as part of a series of preseason matches that will be taking place before the 2006 regular season begins on April 2, at Robertson Stadium.
After defeating San Jacinto College 2-0 last week, HOUSTON 1836 again will face the local team in another scrimmage Tuesday February 21, at 3:30 p.m., at their South Campus located at 13735 Beamer Rd.
The team will then continue their preseason training on Thursday February 23, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the University of Houston's Carl Lewis Track Field. Zach Wells, who made his debut with the U.S. man's national team, is expected to join the rest of the players for Thursday's practice.
HOUSTON 1836 will meet again at the Carl Lewis Track Field for another practice session on Friday February 24, before taking off for Austin to face Real Salt Lake at the Round Rock Stadium, on Saturday February 25, at 6:00 p.m.
Houston 1836 will keep busy for the remaining time before the season kicks off; going to Los Angeles and Charleston, SC, to face Chivas USA, D.C. United, and the MetroStars.
