United for D.C. launches holiday online auction

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, United for D.C. launched its annual holiday on-line auction. Numerous items are available for bids via dcunited.com with all proceeds benefiting the programs and beneficiaries of D.C. United's non-profit arm.


"United for D.C. hopes United fans can find unique holiday gift items for friends and family through the annual on-line holiday auction while helping United for D.C. raise invaluable funding for our philanthropic initiatives," said Catherine Marquette, Executive Director of United for D.C. and United Director of Community Relations. "The continued support of D.C. United fans is greatly appreciated and we wish all a very happy holiday season."


Included in the auction, which will run for the next seven days, are a 1999 D.C. United championship team autographed soccer ball, 2005 D.C. United team autographed home and away jerseys, a Chicago Fire Justin Mapp autographed jersey, a Nike Lance Armstrong chrono watch, a one-year, weekday membership to the Old Hickory Golf Course in Woodbridge, VA, a Bally Total Fitness year-long membership and other valuable items.
