BURN TO HOST NEW ENGLAND WEDNESDAY, AT METROSTARS SUNDAY
The Burn will play a pair of matches against Eastern Conference foes this week as they host the New England Revolution on Wednesday, August 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cotton Bowl and then travel to the Meadowlands to face the MetroStars on Sunday, August 15 at 5:00 p.m. CT. Sunday's match will be televised live on Fox Sports Net Southwest. The Burn (7-7-5) is currently tied for third in the Western Conference with 26 points.
BURN/REVOLUTION SERIES NOTES
New England leads the all-time series vs. Dallas 12-8-1...the Burn took the only meeting between the two clubs this year with a 3-1 victory at the Cotton Bowl on June 12 ... that victory snapped a 4-game unbeaten streak by the Revs in Dallas ... the Burn has just two victories in the last eight meetings vs. New England, posting a 2-5-1 record over that span ... forward Jason Kreis leads all Burn scorers vs. the Revs with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points in 20 career matches ... Dallas leads the all-time series vs. the MetroStars 11-10-1 ... in the only meeting between the two clubs this year, the Burn posted a 2-0 victory at Giants Stadium on June 5 ... that victory snapped a Burn four-match winless streak vs. the Metros ... prior to that four-game winless streak, the Burn had won the previous four matches ... Dallas has lost just once in the last five visits to Giants Stadium, posting a 3-1-1 record over that span ... Jason Kreis has 11 goals and six assists for 28 points in 21 career matches vs. the MetroStars.
THREE PLAYERS SUSPENDED FOR WEDNESDAY'S MATCH VS. REVS
The Burn will be without the services of three starters when they face the Revolution Wednesday at the Cotton Bowl. Midfielders Simo Valakari and Brad Davis both received red cards in Saturday's match vs. Colorado and will serve a one-game suspension on Wednesday.
Additionally, midfielder Carey Talley will serve a one-match suspension for surpassing the 21-point caution plateau.
BURN SURPASSES LAST YEAR'S WIN TOTAL
With 11 matches still remaining in the 2004 season, the Burn has already surpassed last year's total in both wins and points. With their 1-0 victory over Colorado on Saturday, the Burn now has seven victories on the year and 26 points. The team's final record in 2003 was 6-19-5 for 23 points.

BURN GAME-WATCHING PARTY SUNDAY AT THE STADIUM CAFÉ
The Burn will host a game-watching party on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at The Stadium Café. The Stadium Café features great food, cold drinks (including $2.00 Budweiser and Bud Light draft and $2.00 well drinks) and there will also be some great Burn prizes given away at halftime.
