RSL Reserves 4, BYU 0

SALT LAKE CITY - Real Salt Lake reserves (2-5-2, 8 pts.) tallied its second win against the Brigham Young University Men's Team in a 4-0 route at South Field in Provo, Utah. RSL's four goals were scored by FW Melvin Tarley who had two first half goals for Real, and FW Jordan Cila and MF Seth Trembly who notched the second half goals.

BYU tried to test RSL goalkeeper Jay Nolly early in the first half, when FW Jake Cavanaugh sent a shot sailing over the crossbar in the 6th minute. Just 10 minutes later, MF Adolfo Gregorio fired a 20-yard rocket forcing BYU 'keeper Mike Lacey to make a diving save to push the ball out of play.

RSL notched the games first goal when MF Andy Williams played a through ball to a breaking MF Robert Scarlett. Scarlett fed a nicely placed ball into Tarley who slid a shot pass the 'keeper into the bottom corner in the 21st minute. The duo hooked up again just seven minutes later when Scarlett went streaking down the left sending a ball into the box for Tarley who buried it into the back of the net in the 28th minute ending the first half 2-0.

RSL began the second half by adding its third goal of the game when Cila placed the ball at the feet of a cutting Trembly who drove a shot passed the 'keeper in the 52nd minute. Both teams battled for most of the second half with Real holding most of the possession before Cila and Trembly would team up again for the fourth and final goal. Trembly would get the assist as he slid a pass over to Cila on the left who rocketed a low line drive into the lower left corner in the 83rd minute ending the game 4-0.
