Reserves: RSL 4, FCD 2

A pair of first half goals from Luke Kreamalmeyer staked the Real Salt Lake Reserves to a 3-0 first half lead en route to a 4-2 win over the FC Dallas Reserves at Pizza Hut Park.

Real Salt Lake opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Leslie Fitzpatrick played a through ball to the center of the box to find a wide open Dante Washington who only had to place the ball to the right of FCD 'keeper Chris Gomez for the 1-0 lead.

It would be Kreamalmeyer, with a pair of goals, who put the game out of reach, increasing his team's lead to 3-0. The first one came on the 19th minute when he stole the ball from Drew Moor at the top of the box and then shot it through Gomez's legs to make it 2-0. Nine minutes later he would score again when Andy Williams centered a ball that was headed by John Pulido right into the path of Kreamalmeyer, who controlled the ball with his chest and fired a rocket past Gomez for the eventual game-winner.

Real Salt Lake would score once again in the 83rd minute on a long cross from Michael Lookingland to Jamie Watson. Watson took the ball to the top right corner of the box, made a nice move on Drew Moor and the fired a shot from 15 yards out that found the back of the net.

FC Dallas showed some spirit by striking back with two goals in the last 4 minutes to make a game of it, but it would not be enough. The first goal came off the foot of Chris Gbandi in the 86th who slammed home a penalty kick after Abe Thompson was taken down inside the box by goalkeeper Chad Sackett to cut the lead to 4-1.

The final goal came just seconds before the end of the game when Mario Torres dribbled past two defenders inside the box and smashed a shot that was saved by Sackett but the rebound deflected off of Cameron Knowles and went over the goalline to make the score and give the Hoops supporters a glimmer of hope before the referee blew the final whistle for full time.

The FC Dallas Reserves are now 4-4-1 (13 points) with three games left while Real improves to 3-5-2 (11 points) heading into their final two reserve games.
