Monday, April 11th, 2:30 p.m.: Governor Huntsman & Mayor Anderson Proclaim "Real Week"
Governor Huntsman and Mayor Anderson will officially proclaim the week leading up to RSL's home game opener as "Real Week."
Tuesday, April 12th , noon-2:00pm: Inaugural RSL Kickoff Luncheon
Real Salt Lake's commitment to contribute to the community launches with the team's inaugural charity luncheon! The Inaugural RSL Kickoff Luncheon will be held at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center to help raise funds for United Way of Salt Lake! The luncheon includes a reception & silent auction, a luncheon program with David W. Checketts as the keynote speaker, and a chance for sponsors, media, and fans to be formally introduced to the team and coaching staff. For only $600, a table of 10 guests has the opportunity to have lunch with an RSL player and receive 10 ticket vouchers good for any RSL home game in 2005. Wednesday, April 13th, 6:00-10:00pm: "Game of Their Lives" movie premiere
A limited number of tickets still available for this red carpet event! Salt Lake City was chosen as one of the select cities to premiere "Game of Their Lives" at the Megaplex 12 at the Gateway. Between 6:15-7:00pm, RSL players will walk the red carpet for photos, interviews, and autographs. At 7:00pm, the movie documenting the United States World Cup team's 1-0 win over England in the 1950 World Cup debuts. Created by the producers of "Rudy" and "Hoosiers" and featuring cameo appearances by RSL's own Jason Kreis and Eddie Pope, as well as Freddy Adu and Landon Donovan, "Game of Their Lives" is slated for widespread release on April 22.
Friday, April 15th, 7:00-9:00pm: RSL Pep Rally
RSL's fan club, The Loyalists, will hosting the first RSL Pep Rally! To generate excitement and energy for the home game opener, The Loyalists, RSL staff, media and fans will be joining together to celebrate the beginning of the historic season!
Saturday, April 17th, 11:30am-1:00pm: Carnival Real
RSL fans need to arrive early for the home opener to be apart of the first Carnival Real! Kids of all ages can test their skills at this interactive soccer area, while food and entertainment are available for patrons of all ages. Carnival Real includes soccer kick and bounce-house inflatables, street performers, face painting, and live music and radio remotes. The festivities are located in the Olympic Cauldron Park on the south side of the stadium and opens 90 minutes prior to all RSL games.
