Q&A with newest FC Dallas member Moor

Selected sixth overall by Dallas, Drew Moor comes from two years at Indiana University and fcdallas.net had the opportunity to sit down with Moor at the SuperDraft in Baltimore on Friday.

Fcdallas.net:
Is this one of the best days of your life?
Drew Moor:
Absolutely it is. This day is right up there all-time in my life. I've always dreamed of being drafted by a professional team and now that it's here, it's an incredible feeling that will never be forgotten.
Fcdallas.net:
Have you heard about the new stadium being built by the team in Frisco?
Moor:
I've been on the internet and I've seen all the pictures. It looks amazing. Anytime I've talked about FC Dallas to people, the first thing I've mentioned is the new complex in Frisco that the team is building. I am really looking forward to playing there. I think it's going to be a great atmosphere for players and for fans.
Fcdallas.net:
What professional soccer player would you say your playing style emulates?
Moor:
People ask me that all the time and I don't really know who to say. I don't try to model my style after anyone in particular, but if I had to say somebody it would probably be Rio Ferdinand. He's an amazing defender on the field and that's what I like to watch.
Fcdallas.net:
Being from Dallas, how great is it to be taken by your hometown Major League Soccer team?
Moor:
Without a doubt it makes it extra special. I remember my first Dallas Burn game back in the shootout days as my dad took me out to that game and a bunch of other games as well when I was growing up. Now I have the opportunity to put on that jersey and step on the field in my hometown, it's going to be a good feeling.
Fcdallas.net:
If you had to say anything to the Dallas fans, what would that be?
Moor:
I look forward to going to work with them and giving my best for them and my teammates night in and night out. I hope they come out to the new complex and come out to see this new look FC Dallas team because it's going to be fun and it's going to be exciting.
