New-look Quakes hope to gel fast

the club's all-time leading scorer -- returns after spending three seasons away.

Upon returning, both players quickly resumed their leadership roles with the club, and Barrett will wear the captain's armband this season. Both Barrett and Cerritos have helped foster a strong team bond this spring.

"I think the players coming in -- Ronald returning and also Wade Barrett -- have been a very good mature influence on the younger guys that have come in, you know, young guys like Brad Davis and Ricardo Clark," Kinnear said. "I like what I see on the field, and the one thing I like the best is ... the attitude is great."
