Major League Soccer announced today that MLS Cup 2005, the League's 10th championship game to be played on Sunday, November 13, is officially sold out (20,453 seats in the current configuration of the stadium). Fans from 39 states in the U.S. and three world continents (North America, Europe and Africa) will be traveling to Frisco to watch this historic event firsthand. A limited number of standing room only tickets are available for $35 ($30 for groups of 20 or more) and may be purchased online on FCDallas.net, at Pizza Hut Park, Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 888-FCD-GOAL.
MLS Cup 2005 features the New England Revolution playing the Los Angeles Galaxy for the Alan I. Rothenberg Trophy on Sunday, November 13 at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas. The game will be televised live to a national audience on ABC Sports (3:30 p.m. ET) and broadcast to over 120 countries worldwide via ESPN International.
The Revolution, led by Budweiser Golden Boot winner and Honda MVP finalist Taylor Twellman, will meet the Galaxy, led by MLS' all-time playoff goal scorer Landon Donovan. The game is a rematch of MLS Cup 2002, when Los Angeles defeated New England 1-0 in extra time at Gillette Stadium to claim their first league title.
