Kreis, Guevara and Djorkaeff fined by MLS disciplinary committee

The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee today fined Real Salt Lake forward Jason Kreis $250 for public criticism published in the September 4 edition of the Deseret Morning News.


The Disciplinary Committee also concluded their review of actions involving MetroStars midfielder Amado Guevara and forward Youri Djorkaeff. Djorkaeff was fined $250 for making an inappropriate gesture in added time of the first half of the MetroStars game against D.C. United on August 10. In addition, Guevara was fined a total of $750 for failure to leave the field in an orderly fashion following the red card issued to him in the same game as well as for public criticisms of Major League Soccer in comments that appeared in the North Jersey Herald News on August 11, 2005.
