Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee today fined FC Dallas forward Eddie Johnson $250 for public statements detrimental to MLS and the sport of soccer. Johnson's comments were made to the Dallas Morning News following FC Dallas' game against Real Salt Lake on April 23, 2005.
All 12 teams will be in action this weekend, May 14 beginning with the nationally televised game featuring Clint Dempsey and the New England Revolution hosting Freddy Adu and D.C. United on ESPN2 at 4:00 p.m. Later that evening, Kansas City visits Columbus, Chicago hosts the MetroStars, Colorado welcomes Chivas USA, Los Angeles heads to Salt Lake, and FC Dallas travels to face San Jose.
