HDNet finalizes 2005 MLS broadcast schedule

Major League Soccer and HDNet today announced the end-of-season broadcast schedule to be aired live in high-definition on HDNet. "MLS on HDNet" will feature three additional regular season games and three MLS Cup playoff games to finish the League's 10th season with a total of 31 high-definition broadcasts. HDNet will also broadcast MLS Cup Playoff games on three separate weekends leading up to the 2005 MLS Cup.


"MLS on HDNet" will head to Ohio and Texas for the stretch run to the MLS Cup Playoffs, beginning at Crew Stadium on October 1st with a game between Chivas USA and the Columbus Crew and concluding with two games at FC Dallas' new home, Pizza Hut Park - home of the 2005 MLS Cup. FC Dallas will host its Western Division rival Colorado Rapids on October 8th and welcome the Kansas City Wizards on Oct. 15th in search of their first playoff appearance since 2002. HDNet will also broadcast MLS Cup Playoff games on the weekends of October 22nd, 29th and November 5th. Pizza Hut Park will host the 2005 MLS Cup on November 13 live on ABC Sports at 3:30 p.m. ET.


The national broadcast games on HDNet are exclusively produced and broadcast by HDNet with HDNet announcers, graphics and crews - all in the highest quality 1080i HDTV resolution and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound.
