for the week ending May 8, 2004 (Week 6). Glen's tally was his second of the game, as the Trinidad and Tobago international also ignited the 10-goal explosion with his first tally only six minutes into the game.

The weekly winner is determined from a selection of finalists through a fan vote conducted on the Sierra Mist Goal of the Week section of Major League Soccer's official web site, www.MLSnet.com.

With 38 percent of the vote, the first-year MLS player was selected ahead of San Jose Earthquakes forward Landon Donovan, who received 25 percent of the ballots, and Glen's MetroStars teammate Joselito Vaca (23 percent). The other candidates receiving votes were Kansas City Wizards forward Davy Arnaud and D.C. United midfielder Dema Kovalenko.

Glen's game-tying goal earned the MetroStars a tie as the visitors overcame a two-goal deficit late in the match. In the 90th minute midfielder Eddie Gaven curled in an early cross from the right, finding Glen cutting sharply at the near post. The Trinidadian left Onstad helpless to make the stop as he stepped over the incoming ball, flicking it inside the near post with the inside of his trailing foot.

"I was calling Eddie for the ball and I knew I just had to get a touch on it," Glenn said after the game. "I am not sure why I back-heeled it, but it was just instinct."

The 22-year old Glen was acquired by the MetroStars on March 30, 2004 from Trinidadian club CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh and was making his first MLS start.

Streaming video highlights and goals from MLS games are available for viewing every weekend on MLSnet.com just hours after the conclusion of the final match of the weekend. The Sierra Mist Goal of the Week winner is announced the following Wednesday.

At the end of the regular season, each of the 29 Goal of the Week winners selected throughout the season will be featured in voting for the Sierra Mist MLS Goal of the Year, an award presented annually to the author of the season's most spectacular scoring play. The Sierra Mist Goal of the Year award will be presented at the annual Gala Awards ceremony in the days leading up to MLS Cup 2004.
