Carson, CA - The Los Angeles Galaxy will host the Second Annual Korean Heritage Night at The Home Depot Center on Saturday, July 10, the club announced today. The cultural celebration will play an integral part in the club's match that evening at 7 pm against Western Conference rivals Colorado Rapids.
"We are happy to again offer the Korean Community in Southern California a chance to celebrate their heritage at a Galaxy game," said Los Angeles Galaxy President and General Manager Doug Hamilton. "We have always enjoyed their tremendous support and look forward to continuing that relationship into the future."
The Los Angeles Galaxy have counted among their ranks since the start of the 2003 season defender Hong Myung Bo, a former Korea Republic national team player and one of only a handful of players to have participated in four FIFA World Cups. In addition, Hong was named to "The 100" earlier this year, a list compiled by FIFA and celebrating the top 125 living players in the world.
This year's Korean Heritage Night festivities will host several events taking place in various areas of The Home Depot Center. A full list of activities follows below:
