Carson, CA - The Los Angeles Galaxy's players and coaching staff will be active in community events throughout Southern California over the course of the next week. The highlights of the week will be a special appearance by Galaxy defender Chris Aloisi at The Wonder of Reading Program to celebrate the opening of the library at Vermont Avenue School in Los Angeles on Thursday (Sept. 9) and the participation of Carlos Ruiz and Arturo Torres in the Hormel Foods/Mi Sabor Soccer Clinic on Sunday (Sept. 12).

The Los Angeles Galaxy host their biggest rivals this Saturday as the San Jose Earthquakes make the short trip from Northern California for an important Western Conference match at The Home Depot Center at 7 pm (PT). In addition to what promises to be an electric evening of soccer in Carson, the first 10,000 fans 16 and under attending the game will receive a Galaxy soccer ball.
