FC Dallas reaches agreements with five players

Dallas, Texas - FC Dallas President and General Manager Greg Elliott announced today that the club has reached contract agreements with the following five players for the 2005 Major League Soccer season. Per club policy, specific terms of the deals were not disclosed.


Listed below are the five players FC Dallas signed today:

Goalkeeper Scott Garlick
- Will begin second season with Dallas...Is second all-time in MLS in saves (815), third in games played (178), fourth in wins (84) and fourth in shutouts (38).

Defender Steve Jolley
- Will begin second season with Dallas...Was Dallas' 2004 recipient of the U.S. Soccer Humanitarian of the Year Award...Last season, finished second to Ronnie O'Brien on the team in minutes (2,428).

Midfielder Oscar Pareja
- Will begin eighth season with Dallas...Enters 2005, tied for first on the all-time Dallas list in game-winning assists (19), second in assists (46), tied for second in games played (158), third in points (70) and third in shots (178).

Midfielder Eric Quill
- Will begin his second season with Dallas...Last season, notched one goal and three assists for five points in 23 matches...Ranked fifth on the team in shots on goal (12).

Defender Carey Talley
- Will begin his second season with Dallas...In 2004, made 19 starts in 23 appearances with Dallas...Played four seasons with DC United (1998-2001), two seasons with Kansas City (2002-2003) and one season with Dallas (2004).
The five signings currently leave four players unsigned who are FC Dallas property: Chris Gbandi, Toni Nhleko, Milton Reyes and Henry Ring.
