The team will broadcast all 32 matches on KFCD (990 AM) this year for the first time on English radio since the club's inception in 1996.

"I am thrilled to be part of the FC Dallas organization and all the excitement surrounding this club," said Canevari. "I am honored to be here and can honestly say that if I had a chance to broadcast any of the major sports, Major League Soccer would be my first choice."

Canevari brings 21 years of broadcast experience to the job, including the past two years as the SMU men's and women's soccer announcer and the past 11 seasons as the radio voice of SMU women's basketball.

In addition to his duties with SMU, Canevari has worked the past 10 years as the sports anchor for the USA Radio Network. He is the morning drive sports anchor and his sportscasts can be heard every hour on 1200 radio stations around the world. During his tenure with the USA Radio Network, he has covered hundreds of professional sporting events including the NFL playoffs, the Stanley Cup finals and the 1998 World Cup in Paris, France.

Serving the past three years as the public address announcer for Dallas Cup, Canevari has played and coached soccer for 35 years. As a player, he reached the Semi-Professional level with "Italia 78" in San Jose, California from 1978 to 1981. With a national "C" coaching license, he has served as head coach of the Texas Longhorns "92" team which played in the Girls Classic League.

Furthermore, Canevari will be the host of a weekly FC Dallas soccer show that will air on Thursday nights from 6 - 7 p.m. on KFCD (990 AM).
