FC Dallas and AMERIGROUP Corporation to host skills clinic for Hispanic youth

DALLAS, Texas - FC Dallas president and general manager Greg Elliott announced Tuesday that FC Dallas and AMERIGROUP have teamed up to present the "Skills 'N Drills Soccer Clinic" on Wednesday from 4 - 6 p.m. at Kiest Park in southwest Dallas on the northwest corner of Hampton and Kiest.

AMERIGROUP "Skills 'N Drills Soccer Clinic" will consist of sx FC Dallas players - Oscar Parjea, Milton Reyes, Jeff Cassar, Steve Jolley, Bobby Rhine and Dave Wagenfuhr - conducting a soccer skills clinic for the Hispanic youth that will include dribbling, shooting, passing and goalkeeper drills.

"Being directly involved with the Hispanic community is an initiative FC Dallas will always be part of," said Elliott. "With the generous help of AMERIGROUP, FC Dallas is proud to have the opportunity to positively influence the community we live in."

This Hispanic youth soccer initiative includes local youth soccer programs, ages 8 to 12. FC Dallas and AMERIGROUP will help encourage and support a productive environment where team members can develop socially, mentally and physically. FC Dallas and AMERIGROUP collectively identified Hispanic youth soccer programs in the DFW area and have worked with them since May of 2004.

Beginning in May of the 2004 MLS season, each program received recognition in a pre-game ceremony, team photos on the Cotton Bowl pitch and the opportunity to meet the players.

AMERIGROUP Corporation is a multi-state managed health care company focused on serving people who receive healthcare benefits through publicly sponsored programs including Medicaid, State Children's Health Insurance Program, or SCHIP, and Family Care.
