Fans, media to decide All-Star MVP

MLSnet.com has made the 2005 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game the most interactive in league history with chats, enhanced rosters and, now, online voting for the All-Star Game MVP.

Starting in the 30th minute of Saturday's All-Star Game in Columbus (3:30 p.m. ET on ABC), fans will be able to log onto MLSnet.com, click on a link to bring up the voting window, and vote from the player from either the MLS All-Stars or Fulham FC that they think deserves the honor. Fan voting will count for 50 percent of the final tally with media voting making up the other half. The MVP poll will close in the 85th minute.

Last year, when fan voting only counted for 25 percent of the final total, MetroStars midfielder Amado Guevara walked away with the yearly honor. Guevara tallied twice and had one assist for the Eastern Conference as they overcame a late Jason Kreis strike to top the Western Conference All-Stars 3-2 at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

This year's game features a collection of 18 MLS All-Stars facing English Premier League's Fulham Football Club, which marks the return of Columbus Crew leading scorer Brian McBride and former MLS standout Carlos Bocanegra to the United States. Both players currently feature for Fulham.
