NEW YORK - Boston-based pop-rock band The Click Five will highlight the RadioShack Halftime Show at MLS Cup 2005, broadcast live to a national television audience on ABC Sports on Sunday, November 13 (3:30 p.m. ET). America's professional soccer championship, MLS Cup is the pinnacle of the Major League Soccer season. The two best teams in the League will conclude a nearly eight-month season as they compete for the Alan I. Rothenberg Championship Trophy.

Lava/Atlantic recording artists The Click Five, who will be performing their top 20 hit "Just The Girl" and current single "Catch Your Wave" during the RadioShack Halftime Show, have become a mainstay on airwaves following the smashing success of their album Greetings from Imrie House, which takes its name from the Boston residence hall where the band used to live. Known for their catchy blend of guitar crunch, pop hooks, and unforgettable vocal arrangements, this Berklee College of Music-trained ensemble specializes in five-part harmonies that have ushered in a new era of power pop.

"Major League Soccer is pleased to welcome The Click Five to headline our 10th season celebrations at the 2005 MLS Cup," said Soccer United Marketing Enterprises President Doug Quinn. "With performers like Christina Aguilera, Michelle Branch, Paulina Rubio and Switchfoot highlighting past MLS events, we are proud to continue the tradition of providing world-class entertainment at our marquee events."

After recently emerging from the rich Boston music scene, The Click Five's single "Just The Girl" is already a Top 20 single on the Billboard Pop charts. The band has already shared the stage with acts such as Gwen Stefani, The Black Eyed Peas, Will Smith and Gavin DeGraw, and received co-writing contributions on this album from Fountains of Wayne's Adam "Stacy's Mom" Schlesinger and Kiss' Paul Stanley. Also making a special appearance on the record is Cars lead guitarist Elliot Easton.

"It's great to be a part of a Major League Soccer event, as all of us grew up playing soccer," said lead singer Eric Dill. "We can't wait to be there in Dallas on November 13th."

Produced by Mike Denneen (Fountains of Wayne, Aimee Mann etc.), Greetings from Imrie House opens the door to 11 inviting reasons to be fond of The Click Five - from the soaring balladry of "I'll Take My Chances," to the starry-eyed pining of "Pop Princess." Adding sweet synthesizers to their hefty guitars, they also pour on the harmonies and infectious melodies in a way that recalls Boston's great power poppers.
