Chivas USA defeats UCLA 5-0

CARSON, Calif. - Club Deportivo Chivas USA scored two first-half goals and added three more after halftime in a 5-0 win over the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in a preseason scrimmage played at the Track Field of The Home Depot Center.


The afternoon's standout performance came from former UCLA marksman Matt Taylor, who notched two goals and an assist, while Isaac Romo, Alonso Sandoval and Armando Begines added one tally apiece.

Matt Taylor strikes a left-footed solo shot to the lower-right post.

Isaac Romo knocks in an Héctor Cuadros deflection of an Alonso Sandoval cross sent in from the right side.
3-0 (Minute 49):
Sandoval scores with a left-footed shot to the far post off a Taylor-made pass.
4-0 (Minute 55):
Taylor strips the ball from a UCLA defender and scores his second goal of the evening with a right-footed shot to the far post.
5-0 (Minute 75):
Armando Begines heads in a cross sent in from the right side by Arturo Torres.
