Chicago Fire Juniors to hold tryouts during first week of May

CHICAGO - The Chicago Fire Juniors has announced that the club will be conducting tryouts for the 2005/2006 season during the first week of May at two locations in west suburban Wheaton, IL. On Sunday, May 1, the Senior Girls (U15-U18) tryouts will begin at the Hubble Middle School Alumni Field, while on Monday, May 2, the U12-U14 Boys and Girls will tryout at Seven Gables Park. On Saturday, May 7, the tryouts for U8-U11 Boys and Girls will be held at the Hubble Middle School Alumni Field. Please check the schedule below for dates and times for specific age groups. Spots Still Available for Fire Academy Spring Training Phase
The Fire's senior team players are not the only players in the Fire stable going through "spring training," as the Chicago Fire Youth Development Department has announced the schedule for the upcoming spring phase of its Fire Academy training program that will begin in mid-April. Sites, dates and times for the program's three locations - North, West and City - are listed below. Spots for the Spring 2005 phase are still available and players interested in trying out for the Fire Youth Academy program should contact Paul Cadwell at 312-705-7250 or via email: pcadwell@chicago-fire.com. Consideration for the program can also be gained by participating in the Chicago Fire Academy Soccer Camps this summer.
