Burn's Garlick out for Saturday

Dallas Burn goalkeeper Scott Garlick will miss Saturday's match vs. New England due to a sprained left ankle suffered in training on Thursday. X-rays conducted on his ankle Thursday came back negative and his status will be re-evaluated next week to determine his availability for next weekend's match at Colorado. Garlick has played every minute of the Burn's first nine matches this year and has posted four shutouts.

Jeff Cassar will get the starting nod for the New England match and will be backed up by Peter Billmeyer, who was called up by the Burn on Friday. Billmeyer was a four-year starter at Oregon State where he started 69 of 71 matches during his four-year career. He led the team to a 13-7-0 record in 2004 and a berth in the NCAA College Cup, where the Beavers dropped a 3-2 decision Portland in the first round. Billmeyer received All Pac-10 honorable mention honors three years while at Portland.
