2006 Crew home opener set for April 15 vs. Chicago Fire

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Columbus Crew General Manager Mark McCullers announced today that the 2006 Crew home opener is set for Saturday, April 15, vs. the Eastern Conference rival Chicago Fire.


The national television schedule has not yet been finalized, so the start time for the game on April 15 has not been set. The complete 2006 schedule will be announced at a later date. Major League Soccer kicks off its 11th season on Saturday, April 1.

The 2006 Crew season will be a 32-game slate, including 16 home games and 16 road games. Columbus will take on its five Eastern Conference foes four times each (two home, two away), while playing the six Western Conference teams twice (one home, one away).
