Career Summary

What Scouts Say: "Forward who is as solid as a rock. He's strong ... Athletically fits the bill ... Not pacy, but quite quick. Doesn't have flat-out speed but he has good speed ... A handful. Works his socks off. Has drive and battles for everything ... Really strong and aggressive and had good feet (more right-footed than left), connected very well … Can use both feet ... Not as technical as some players, but his skills are adequate ... Great work rate, won 50-50 battles all day … Runs well and able to muscle weaker or slighter defenders ... Combines well. Big kid and strong up top ... Good at holding the ball. Fairly good target ... Most of 2012 and 2011 he played at midfield but target forward is his best position ... Which of his attributes come through to MLS? But he does everything well. Holds ball up well, good in air ... Strikes the ball very well ... Played at times as forward, but maybe he can be a center mid in MLS or an attacking mid if you have five in the midfield ... Can also play as one of three forwards ... Not the best finisher ... Works well off the ball and closes down people. He'll do the dirty work ... Covers a lot of ground and can play a number of roles ... Spent a year-and-a-half working as a personal trainer ... A leader ... Can be a steal in the draft."
