PRIOR TO MLS: Began his professional career with Stade Rennais (France) after coming up through the club’s youth system … signed with the first team in 1995 and went on to make 40 appearances … signed with Internazionale (Italy) in 1998 and made 13 appearances before being loaned to Vicenza (Italy) for the remainder of the season … between 1999-2001, made stops at both Parma (Italy) and AS Monaco (Monaco), playing 16 games for each club before once again going on loan back to Vicenza for the final 17 games of 2001 … from 2001-03, Dabo appeared in 52 games for Atalanta, where he was a first team regular for the Bergamo-based club … during his time playing for Atalanta, Dabo scored four goals … sold to Lazio (Italy) in the summer of 2003, where he made 79 appearances and scored three goals until 2006 when he moved to Manchester City (England) … made 25 appearances for Man City before returning to Lazio for the 2008-09 season, where he concluded his European playing career in the summer of 2010.

FRANCE NATIONAL TEAM: Has three caps for France … weceived his first call-up to the senior team in 2003 for the FIFA Confederations Cup, which France won after winning all five matches the team played … a former member of France’s Under-21 squad and other youth squads.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Moussa and Aminata Dabo … cites the final of the 2009 Coppa Italia as his favorite playing memory … in that match, Dabo scored the game-winning penalty to give Lazio a 6-5 win following a 1-1 draw against Sampdoria … off the field, enjoys listening to rap and hip-hop music and watching movies … his favorite vacation destination is the South of France.
