Career Summary

COACHES' BREAKDOWN: Gimenez is a winger-type midfielder, who likes having the ball played into his run and taking guys on 1-v-1. A fierce competitor, Gimenez will run defenses down fearlessly, and he has the pace and trickiness to beat guys off the dribble. His pace doesn't translate over long distances, however, nor does his movement off the ball. For all his technical gifts, he can be inconsistent, and one coach admitted "I was never over concerned with him" when his team played Wake Forest because he was predictable tactically. He'll have to show that he's willing to defend to cement a spot on an MLS roster, but his feet give him "something a little different than most college players."
