One of the most celebrated strikers in MLS history, Casey joins Crew SC after spending the last three seasons with the Philadelphia Union. The hulking, bruising striker has scored 71 goals in his nine-year MLS career. Despite his size, Casey is known for his nimble feet which allow him to maneuver around the box with ease.

INTERNATIONAL: Casey has earned 19 caps for the United States, scoring two goals. He made his senior debut for the Stars & Stripes on March 31, 2004 against Poland. On October 10, 2009, he scored two goals at Honduras in a qualification match ahead of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

OUTSIDE MLS:  Played in ten games with FSV Mainz (2005-06) after suffering a knee injury while playing with USMNT. Joined Bundesliga club FSV Mainz in a transfer from German Second Division side Karlsruher SC prior to the 2004-05 season. In his first season he played in 28 games and scored two goals. Was loaned out to Hannover 96 during the 2001-02 season. He was part of the team’s rise back to the Bundesliga. Scored seven goals in 19 matches.

COLLEGE: Casey spent two years (1999-2000) at the University of Portland before heading to Germany Named West Coast Conference co-Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year in 1999 after leading the team, league and country in scoring (53 points) with 23 goals and seven assists.
