2000-2004: Transferred from Valencia (Spain) for £22 million (approximately $44 million US) to Lazio (Italy). Scored 28 goals in 105 games and helped Lazio capture 2000 Italian Super Cup and 2004 Coppa Italia.
1996-2000: Scored 42 goals in 123 games and helped Valencia capture the Spanish Super Cup and Spanish Copa del Rey in 1999.
1992-1996: Scored 21 goals in 114 games for Racing (Argentina).
1990: Began professional career with Estudiantes de La Plata (Argentina) at age 16.



Played in 58 games for Argentina, including 7 in World Cup play. Appeared in both the 1998 and 2002 World Cups. Scored 10 international goals, including 1 in World Cup play. Won silver-medal at the 1996 Olympics with Argentine U-23 team.
