Pronunciation: “KON-OP-KA”

A fiery shotstopper with good reflexes, Konopka began his professional career with the Kansas City Wizards in 2007, and also played for the New York Red Bulls (2011), Philadelphia Union (2012-13) and Toronto FC (2013-15) in six previous MLS seasons. A native of Toms River, New Jersey, Konopka made a career-high 21 appearances (21 starts) in 2015 with Toronto FC. Konopka most recently played for Scotland's Ross County FC.

OUTSIDE MLS: Konopka left Kansas City at the conclusion of the 2007 season to trial with Bohemians FC of the League of Ireland. He later signed and was part of the club’s “Irish Double,” winning both the League of Ireland Championship and the FAI Cup. A dual citizen of the United States and Poland, Konopka spent two more seasons in Ireland with Sporting Fingal (2009) and Waterford United (2010). He re-joined MLS as part of the league's Goalkeeper Pool in 2011 and was called into service for both the New York Red Bulls and Columbus Crew that season. After his 2015 season with Toronto, he joined Scottish Premiership side Ross County FC, winners of the 2015-16 Scottish League Cup. 

COLLEGE: Prior to his professional career, Konopka played his collegiate soccer at Providence College. During his time with the Friars, he helped lead the school to three straight Big East Championship semifinals and two NCAA Tournaments.
