Burling is an experienced MLS center back, currently playing for his hometown club. He has the physical tools and is strong in the air, and can be especially effective in shutting down crosses in his own box.

OUTSIDE MLS: Played in the US Open Cup in 2014 and the CONCACAF Champions League in 2008-09, in both cases for Chivas USA.

COLLEGE: Played collegiate soccer at Loyola Marymount University in California. After playing as a forward the first three years, he was converted to a defender his season season and was named to the All-West Coast Conference team.
