The second mission in Survivor Brazil was the Juggle and Shoot - as pairs.
Goal: In five minutes, how many times each team would score. Three points for hitting the back of the net on the fly, one point for having the ball just go in.
Twist: Each team picked three pairs. They had to begin juggling the ball from midfield, take it past the cones about 23 yards from goal, and hit a shot from before the top of the 18. If the ball hit the ground at any point, the pair had to start over.
Setup: Not much. Balls at midfield, cones marking the line to reach outside the box.
Young Guys - Sandy Gbandi and Anthony Wallace; Tommy Krizanovic and Juan Carlos Toja; and Dax McCarty and Blake Wagner
Old Guys - Chris Gbandi and Pablo Richetti; Abe Thompson and Aaron Pitchkolan; and Bobby Rhine and Roberto Mina.
Experience won out on this challenge. Pitch and Abe gave the Old Guys a big boost when Pitch hit a volley from right outside the box that hit the back of the net for three points. Mina and Rhine were the consistent pair, tallying up three one-point goals. Gbandi and Richetti also contributed with a one-pointer.
The Young Guys looked good, but could not get shots off. Dax and Blake regularly made it past the cones, but the set-up pass either was slightly off, or they tried to catch up quickly with three-point shots that missed the goal all together. Only Sandy Gbandi and Wallace were able to give the Young Guys points, though two one-point goals were not enough.
Final count: Old Guys 8; Young Guys 2
No one has been eliminated yet.
