Fire to battle UIC in third annual benefit match

For the third consecutive year the Chicago Fire will face the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) men's soccer team in an exhibition match to benefit the Chicago Fire Foundation. The match will take place on Tuesday, April 7 at Flames Field, located on the UIC campus. The match will kickoff at 7:00 p.m. CT.


General admission tickets for the match between the Fire and the Flames are $12 through April 6 and a special group rate of $10 per ticket is available for groups of 20 or more. Tickets can be purchased for $15 on the day of the game through the UIC Athletics Ticket Office by calling 312-413-UIC1 or at the gate. UIC students can $10 tickets at the gate with a valid i-Card.


"The Fire is excited to once again partner with the UIC Flames for this benefit match," said Fire Technical Director and Chicago Fire Foundation President Frank Klopas. "We look forward to providing fans with an entertaining evening of soccer, while raising money for the Chicago Fire Foundation."


The Chicago Fire and UIC Flames have raised nearly $15,000 through the last two years.
