Who would make your Mount Rushmore of American Soccer? | SIDELINE

It was Presidents Day in the USA on Monday -- a great excuse to have a Mount Rushmore debate.

Fox Sports 1 soccer analysts Alexi Lalas and Eric Wynalda weighed in with their respective “Mount Rushmore of American Soccer” on the Monday afternoon edition of America’s Pregame.

Lalas opted for Landon Donovan, Mia Hamm -- Lalas said: “Both in my estimation the greatest players ever to play the game in the United States, for the United States.” -- Bruce Arena and The Fan.

"There is a fan culture in the United States," Lalas continued. "It's not niche. It's not underground. It's an army. It's passionate, intelligent and it needs to be celebrated in something like this."

Wynalda went in a completely different direction with LA Galaxy owner Phil Anschutz ("We're nowhere without him"), MLS founder Alan I. Rothenberg, late MLS owner Lamar Hunt ("Probably the most beautiful man I've ever met") and Phil Knight.
