After 24 hours of media reports claiming Michael Bradley would go on loan to Aston Villa, the Premier League side confirmed that they are in talks to sign the US international.
"Villa can confirm that talks with Michael Bradley are at an advanced stage for a loan move until the end of the season," read a statement on the club's website.
The 23-year-old Borussia Mönchengladbach stalwart is, according to the BBC, in Birmingham on Sunday to complete negotiations and to undergo his medical exam.
On Saturday, Villa manager Gérard Houllier was asked about the proposed move for the former MetroStars midfielder following Villa's FA Cup match.
"I don't want to say anything about it," he replied. "Maybe in two days' time."
